Datin Zalita brings extensive legal and policy expertise developed over more than two decades of public service, including 9 years as Federal Counsel and Senior Federal Counsel. She has served as Legal Advisor to three key Ministries, delivering high-level counsel on legal, regulatory, and governance matters.
Her portfolio includes:
International Law & Trade: Advisory on World Trade Organization (WTO) agreements, ASEAN Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), and cross-border legal cooperation.
Legislative Drafting: Drafting of statutes, subsidiary legislation, and harmonisation of laws for public policy implementation.
Contracts & Compliance: Drafting and vetting of privatisation contracts, construction agreements (FIDIC & bespoke), government procurement documents, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
